AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware is a mission-driven Medicaid managed care organization and has been serving the state of Delaware since 2018. Through dedicated providers like you, we serve Delaware Medicaid members in the Diamond State Health Plan (DSHP), Delaware Healthy Children Program, DSHP-Plus, and DSHP-Plus LTSS programs.
On January 1, 2023, AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware Family of Health Plans will offer two new product lines:
AmeriHealth Caritas Next
Individual and Family Health Plans offered on and off the Exchange
AmeriHealth Caritas Next offers affordable health plans for eligible individuals or families who do not have coverage through their employer and do not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid. AmeriHealth Caritas Next will offer eligible Delawareans whole-person care for today, tomorrow, and whatever is next.
AmeriHealth Caritas VIP Care
Medicare Advantage Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP)
AmeriHealth Caritas VIP Care is a Medicare Advantage D-SNP plan for those beneficiaries who are dually eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. AmeriHealth Caritas VIP Care will offer extra benefits and support to assist our dual-eligible members in accessing their Parts A, B, and D benefits that are normally provided under traditional Medicare. Our approach integrates proven, established care management, preventive services, and other programs that effectively coordinate care for aged, blind, and disabled individuals.

Participating providers*
Upon request, providers who already participate in our Medicaid managed care plan, AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware, can receive an amendment to their existing contract. To request an amendment to your existing contract, please complete the Provider Contract/Amendment Inquiry Form (PDF) and current roster and return by email to ProviderRecruitmentDE@amerihealthcaritas.com.
*Participating providers do not need to complete data intake or credentialing forms.
